Settlement Overview

Aqua Finance, Inc. and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), resolved allegations relating to water treatment systems, which occurred primarily during the period from 2018-2021. While we strongly disagree with the allegations, we have determined that it is best to resolve them through a settlement, so that we can focus on our core business of providing affordable and accessible financing to families for their home renovations, including installing water treatment systems, and outdoor recreational needs.

Impacted Customers

All impacted customers will be mailed a letter from Aqua Finance. If you do not receive a letter, your account was not impacted by the settlement.

Our customers are, and always have been, at the forefront of every decision we make. We are deeply committed to operating with integrity and delivering quality service and financing solutions to our customers and working with water dealers who share our commitment.



We continuously evaluate our business practices to find ways to improve our business and establish trusted and honest relationships with our dealers.

As part of Aqua’s commitment to upholding the highest operational standard, any changes or updates to our compliance practices and procedures will be communicated to dealers via the dealer portal and/or email. If you have any questions, you can contact us at 800-997-5356.


All impacted customers will be mailed a letter from Aqua Finance with the details of the settlement by [DATE]. Impacted customers will also be sent an email if they have an email on record with us. If you’re unsure or have additional questions, you can contact us at 800-997-5356.

This means that your account is included in Aqua’s settlement. No action is needed on your part. As a result of the settlement, you don’t have to pay the outstanding account balance on your Aqua water treatment financing contract and your outstanding account balance will be forgiven. We will also ask the credit report agencies to delete the account from your credit report and terminate any Uniform Commercial Code fixture filings related to the account.
